Terms of service

These terms govern your use of MySentry. By creating an account or joining the waiting list you agree to them. Last updated 2026-08-22.

1. The service

Northstar Infinity Works Ltd (“we”) provides MySentry, a website monitoring service: uptime and content checks, error and heartbeat reporting, analytics and alerts, as described on this website and in the documentation. We may improve or change features over time; we will not remove a capability you rely on without reasonable notice.

2. Your account

You must provide a working email address and keep your sign-in credentials and reporting keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you give access to. Tell us promptly if you believe a key or account has been compromised; keys can be revoked instantly from the panel.

3. Acceptable use

  • Monitor only websites and systems you own or are authorised to monitor.
  • Do not send data you are not entitled to process, and do not attempt to circumvent the masking, limits or access controls of the service.
  • Do not use the service to probe, overload or attack any system, including ours.
  • Respect the rate limits in the documentation; we may throttle or suspend reporting that threatens the stability of the service for others.

4. Plans, fees and billing

Plans are priced by the number of websites monitored, as shown on the pricing page, excluding VAT. Fees are billed in advance, monthly or annually, by card through Stripe. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not refund the unused part of a period unless the law requires it. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry; after a grace period monitoring for websites above your plan’s limit is paused until payment succeeds. We may change prices for new periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email; prices shown during early access stay attached to the accounts that took them up while those accounts remain subscribed.

5. Free trial

New accounts may start with a free trial. At the end of the trial you choose a plan; if you do not, monitoring is paused and your data is kept for a reasonable period so you can pick up where you left off.

6. Your data

The data your websites send us is yours. We process it only to provide the service, under the privacy policy, and delete it when you delete a website or close your account. You can export error data at any time. You are the controller of that data and responsible for having the right to send it to us.

7. Availability

We run the service to be available continuously and monitor it ourselves, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation and provide no uptime guarantee. Monitoring is a best-effort early-warning system: it reduces the time you are unaware of a problem; it does not prevent problems, and you remain responsible for your own websites and backups.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data, or for losses arising from a problem the service did not detect or reported late. Our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the panel or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after notice where practicable. On closure we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions: [email protected].
